Merry Christmas
from Jason, Aubrey, Sydney, Mikayla, and LucyThis year has been tons of fun. Jason is still working at Ancestry.com and loving it. Aubrey is doing a wonderful job raising the girls at home. Mikayla graduated pre-school and just like that, started kindergarten. Sydney is wonderfully crazy active and energetic. The highlight was definitely the addition of our new little one, Lucy Jane.
Lucy Jane
Lucy was born around 6pm on November 7th, 2013. She weighed in at a mere 8 lbs 13 oz. Buck's mom timed it just right with his burger and fries, so she got to be in the room with us. Other than a very short cold, Lucy has been very healthy, for which we are very grateful. Her eyes still change color on an hourly basis.
Sydney Anne
Sydney is definitely 2 going on 3. Lots and lots of energy. It’s so interesting how different looking she is from Mikayla. The way she talks is super cute as well. She absolutely loves going to church, until we get there. Jason and her spend most the time roaming the halls, but we still get points for going, right? She’s learning to play nicely with others and loves to see her grandmas and grandpas (especially when they have kitties and candy).
Mikayla Grace
Mikayla is half-way done with kindergarten! She is 5 going on 6 and plays best with the 8-10 year olds. She is learning to read, likes to do math with her dad, and her Nintendo skills are improving. She is super cute with her baby sister and tries to protect her from Sydney. Mikayla and Sydney do press each others’ buttons quite often lately... but isn’t that what sisters are supposed to do?
Buck & Aubrey
We are still married! Woot! Going on 7 years now!
Aubrey is amazingly keeping 3 kids alive while staying mostly sane. She got a new iPhone for her birthday this year from her amazing, studly geek of husband, which helps capture some of her wonderful motherhood moments.
Buck really does love his job at Ancestry.com where he is a frontend web developer. He’s headed up some awesome initiatives such as responsive web design, visual web standards, and accessibility improvements.
